Italian Red Cross Rountable on ‘Legal and Operational Challenges in International Relief Operations’

On 26 July 2021, in the framework of the 40th Italian Red Cross Course for IHL Trainers held in the Jesolo training center, a roundtable was organized on the topic ‘Legal and Operational Challenges in International Relief Operations: a Dialogue among Practitioners and Academics’. The roundtable implied a conversation between DILAW4E academics and staff of the Italian Red Cross specialized in the management of international relief operations.

Participants to the roundtable included:

  • Prof. Giulio Bartolini, Associate Professor of International Law at Roma Tre University and Director of the Jean Monnet Project DILAW4E
  • Maria-Milena Cisilino, President of the IHL National Commission, Italian Red Cross and National Focal Point International Disaster Response Law
  • Fabio Carturan, Center of National Training on Emergencies, Italian Red Cross
